Be the person you want to be

This month’s Self magazine had some really good articles about “non-scale victories”, living the life you want to live and finding your dream job, or at least one that will make you happy. Pick it up, was a great summer read.

Anyway, the note from the Editor had some really good points that I thought should be mentioned again, as these are thoughts I completely agree with. It’s good to know that others share my thoughts on what is important in life.

“You are defined by who you are and what you love, which in turn drives what you do, where you go and how you choose to spend your time”- The choices you make on a daily basis, and those you choose to surround yourself with, ultimately define who you are. The things you put into your body, how you treat strangers, how you choose to spend your leisure time and how often you smile.

“Measure your life through your endeavors and successes (sidenote from Jamelyn, these can be personal, emotional, physical, spiritual, etc), and be inspired by those around you”

“Be whatever you want to be, Think: What and who do I want to be today and next Thursday and a year from now”- It is never too late to be the person you want to be.

Have a good week!

When I read that, in a daze on your couch, I thought to myself, “Self! This is what Jamelyn tells us all the time! Maybe we should start listening.” I’ve laughed 6 times today. 🙂 Loves you.
